Annual Conference

The annual conference, started in 2007, gives policymakers an opportunity to gather for in-depth discussions of current issues in business environment reform. Its distinguishing feature is that it addresses all levels of reform - from leadership on the national and regional level which is necessary in order to sustain the reform agenda, to technical discussions among peers who are working on managing projects and applying innovative tools to solve challenges in their policy environments. 

The conference is in effect the annual meeting of the Regional Network of Policy Makers.  It serves both to inspire momentum for reforms as well as to exchange professional insights on reform implementation.

Participants have come from all levels and arms of government, from national and sub-national administrations, the private sector, and many donor agencies.  Experts from international organizations and the private sector with extensive regional and international business environment reform experience come to the conference to offer insights into most relevant approaches to reform, and to learn from the discussions with policymakers about reform progress and challenges.
