Andre Nijsen

Andre Nijsen is a sociology graduate of the Catholic University Tilburg, the Netherlands, where he specialised in research and methodology. In 1969 he joined the Netherlands Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), specialising in labour market and salary statistics. From 1979 onwards he worked at EIM Business and Policy Research - the largest private small business research institute in the world - in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. Beginning as a labour market researcher, from 1982 until 2001 he was manager of the Social Policy Department, from ‘01 until ‘04 he was a member of the EIM Business and Policy Research board of directors and from ‘04 until his retirement in February ‘08 he was one of the directors of EIM Group – renamed the Panteia Group, The Netherlands, in 2005. From February 2008 onwards, Andre has been an independent advisor in the area of regulatory reform. Andre, who obtained his PhD in 2003, is the founding father of Mistral® - the precursor of the Standard Cost Model (SCM).
