Jasminka P. Kaufman


Dr. Jasminka Pecotić Kaufman is a senior assistant at the Department of Law of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb where she teaches competition law, and commercial law. She also teaches competition law at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb. In 1998 she graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, and in 2000 she earned her LL.M. degree from the University College London. She completed her thesis on horizontal agreements on prices in competition law and was awarded her PhD by the University of Zagreb in July 2008. She published books and articles on various competition law topics such as joint ventures in competition law, cartel enforcement, relevant market definition, abuse of joint dominance, merger control. She worked as a legal advisor at the Croatian Ministry of European Integration on the negotiations for the Stabilisation and Association Agreement. She was hired to lecture on various EU law topics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Moldova. Currently she heads the project of the Croatian Ministry of Science on the Croatian law after the reform of EU merger control regime. She is a correspondent from Croatia for 'European Competition Law Review' and a member of the Senate of the University of Zagreb.
