Igor Luksic

Igor Luksic is the Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister for international economic cooperation, structural reforms and improvement of business environment in Government of Montenegro. In 1998, Lukšic graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica. In 2000, he
finished postgraduate studies in the same faculty and in 2002, obtained his MA degree. In 2003, he was the advisor to the Prime Minister in the area of Public Relations, along with being the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Montenegro. On 16 February, 2004, he was appointed Minister of Finance of Montenegro. He received a PhD in Economics on 10 September, 2005. Luksic attended various international specialization courses, including the specialization at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna in 1999 and published several scientific and publicistic works as well as one book of poetry and prose. Luksic is also a Member of the Committee for Economic Research CANU (Montenegrin Academy of Sciences) and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of International Economy, Finance and Business.
