Marko Malovic


Born on 17 Jan 1975 in Belgrade.
Graduated from the Belgrade University, Faculty of Economics in autumn 1997, with GPA 9.81.
Awarded as the best student in his class and for the studies completed in a record time by the University Council. Received scholarships by SANU (Serbian Science and Arts Academia) and Republic Foundation for Science Offspring.
In 2001/2002, he was a visiting researcher at CEAS, Department for Economics, Reading University, the UK, as a scholar of Sasakawa Foundation and British Scholarship Trust.
In 2003/04, he was at Humboldt and Free University in Berlin in the course of his PhD studies.
Won his PhD in December, 2004 at the Belgrade Faculty of Economics, International financial crisis – theory and policy. Spring term, 2006 and Sept, 2007: Visiting Fellow, London School of Economics, UK. Spring 2008, Visiting Professor, SAA, University of Turin.Teaches as an Assistant-Professor at several state owned as well as private universities in Serbia and abroad. He is also Fellow at the Institute of Economic Sciences.Taught following subjects: International finance, International Banking, European Economic Integration, Monetary Economics and Macroeconomics. His Research has been focused on: international financial crises, foreign debt, international banking, EU enlargement, ECB and EMU, open economy developmental issues, foreign exchange rates (determinants, regimes, policy), integration of financial markets.
